Client Testimonials

Tess has helped me realize how to live a healthy and SUSTAINABLE lifestyle. I have done multiple diets/fads. Through these I would get fast results but as soon as I tried to do it on my own, I would gain the weight back and just be right back where I started. Working with Tess has shown me how to be healthy but how to also still enjoy myself. Her workouts gave me structure. She was always able to answer questions for me. I truly feel like I was able to make lifelong changes and develop new habits.

I would say that I am your traditional over 40 full time working soccer momma...when my kids were small I was constantly chasing them around, going to the gym daily, and running half marathons that kept me in great shape. Fast forward to having two teenagers and spending my time working 10 hour shifts and in my free time either driving to sports or watching sports. I still continued to go to the gym, but I was also gaining weight every year and slowly becoming uncomfortable. I had been following Tessica for some time on social media and loved her whole vibe. I saw that she was running a special and thought "Why not"…I was tired of being tired and tired of being uncomfortable, so I messaged her and started our journey January 1st, I will say from day 1 she has made me feel heard, motivated me to keep at it, and helped me in ways she probably doesn't know. There were many days that I wondered if I was truly making changes and was frustrated, but knowing that I was checking in with her every Friday kept me pushing…and now it is a habit...it's a habit to look at what I am putting into my body, it's a habit to think about what I am slacking on if I am not feeling my best, and also a habit to give myself grace when that day is not the day for me. Over the 7 months that we have worked together I have lost weight, become stronger, and most of all seen that I can do the hard things!

This challenge has not been an easy one for me. I had many things arise in these 8 weeks that made it difficult to progress i.e: a severe allergic reaction, thyroid issues, panic attacks, hormone irregularities, a shoulder injury and sickness. Not to mention the holidays on top of all of that. I struggled to see the progress that I was hoping for. I am the type of person that is motivated by progress, and I didn't ever really see the progress. The single most important thing I learned from this challenge is life happens and NEVER give up. I came to realize that there are going to be times when 50% is physically all you can give, and that's okay! There were days when I couldn't work out and that was okay. There is no sense in beating myself up over things that were out of my control. I had to tell myself that even if I were too reach my weight goal I wouldn't just stop exercising or eating healthy. This is a lifestyle change. Keep pushing. So why get frustrated that I didn't reach my weight goal in 8 weeks? Let life happen, get through the rough patch, and start back up. It's hard for me to come out and say "deserve to win" because that's just not my personality. But I feel for the sheer fact that I didn't give up or opt out of the challenge because of all the things happening, is reason enough for me to say "I deserve to win."
Thank you Tess for sticking it through with me and pushing me along. I'm truly grateful for you.
